It’s an entirely different thing to see results support it.
In a world where standard preconstruction takes anywhere from 3 to 6 months per project, preconstruction is under constant pressure to move faster. Because yes, it’s true — a relatively small improvement in efficiency in preconstruction creates outsized downstream impact.
We wanted to quantify that.
Where are Ediphi users seeing the most efficiency gains? What products are helping them tell a better cost story? And how satisfied are they with Ediphi being their source of truth?
Here’s what 49 preconstruction leaders, VPs, and decision-makers told us.
Estimators are getting back hours on every estimate, not just minutes
If preconstruction has a currency, it's time. And according to our users, Ediphi is paying dividends.
Among respondents who could quantify their time savings, 72% reported saving more than 2 hours on every estimate with a significant portion of those saving more than 4 hours per project.
Time saved is something that creates a compounding advantage across every bid.
- More estimates completed
- More room to test assumptions before the final number
- More bandwidth to refine the cost story (not just “report it”)
“The system is excellent for progressing conceptual to detailed estimates."
— Sarah Forrest, Chief Estimator at Hensel Phelps
“It is the best estimating platform I have used.”
— Nick Burkel, Director of Preconstruction at Stevens Construction
Ediphi's estimating platform is uniquely equipped for speed because it allows estimators to use a systems-based approach. Create a Unit and it becomes a pre-populated workflow across the project. Build a Room once and every room type that shares its components inherits the same logic.

It directly replaces the fragmented process of building estimates in spreadsheets with something faster, smarter, and repeatable; and users agree.
Standardization and cost visibility is where it matters most
When asked where they see the most value, nearly 90% of respondents pointed to Ediphi's ability to standardize estimating processes, and 80% cited improved cost data visibility (two things that have historically been the hardest to solve, might we add…)
Estimators described a shift away from these files that only one person can safely touch towards a process that feels safer; one where everyone can safely access data stored in the cloud.
"Everyone can access it without having to be afraid of breaking an Excel sheet. The process can be more standardized without people making their own edits in Excel."
— Juan Martinez, Project Engineer at Kitchell
Three products that were mentioned time and time again here:
- Unit Price Catalog (UPC). Our centralized cost database gives every estimator on your team the same starting point.
- Last Mile Excel Add-In. A live data feed that populates owner bid-forms, executive summaries, and custom dashboards.

Users are highly satisfied and telling their peers
Allow us to toot our own horn because these numbers here are hard to ignore.
Across 49 preconstruction leaders, VPs, and decision-makers, overall satisfaction and likelihood to recommend Ediphi both averaged above 9 out of 10.
The confidence in Ediphi's product direction is just as strong, with the overwhelming majority describing themselves as "Very Confident" in where the roadmap is headed.
“Love the new features rolling out. This is an amazing product that we are extremely satisfied with.”
— Mark Reinsborough, Estimator at Wright-Ryan
“You go above and beyond to support our teams, and you live up to your commitments.”
— Nate Wooten, Preconstruction Technology Lead at DPR
This confidence reflects a simple pattern: features users have asked for such as Milestones, Cost Trendline, and a re-imagined UPC, have a way of showing up in the product.
High scores were only due to the product — respondents named the people behind it. CSMs, product specialists, and support staff were called out by name across dozens of responses. In preconstruction, where the margin for error is thin and the stakes are high, that kind of trust doesn't come from software alone.
The data speaks and our team is listening
Time savings, standardization, and satisfaction; our most recent customer survey results point to something bigger than any single feature: preconstruction teams feel they are finally working in a platform built for how they actually think.
60% of respondents see Ediphi expanding across their organization. In an industry that's notoriously slow to change, this says everything.
“Every customer gets a team that is genuinely invested in their outcomes, from the first training to the hundredth estimate. A CSM who knows their goals, a Product Specialist who trains in their language, a Data team that curates their environment, and a Support team that shows up when they need help, ”
says Sarah DeBaca, VP of Customer Success at Ediphi.
“The scores in this survey reflect what happens when our team approach works - and exemplifies that customer success isn't a department here, it's a commitment."
