Integration eliminates manual quantity handoffs between takeoff and estimating, with Stevens Construction as first live customer ahead of industry debut at Advancing Preconstruction in May

Boston, MA – May 4, 2026 – Ediphi, a cloud-based preconstruction platform that centralizes estimating and cost management, today announced a native integration with Togal.AI, a leading AI-powered quantity takeoff solution. The integration connects Togal’s takeoff data directly to Ediphi’s estimating platform, eliminating the manual handoffs and data re-entry that have long slowed preconstruction workflows.

Stevens Construction, a customer of both Ediphi and Togal, is the first to go live on the integration, with activation underway.

Closing a Long-Standing Gap in Preconstruction

Quantity takeoff has historically been one of the most disconnected steps in the preconstruction process. Even when teams use modern takeoff tools, quantities often flow into estimates through spreadsheets or manual re-entry—creating version control issues, introducing errors, and slowing the estimating cycle.

The Ediphi–Togal integration addresses this directly. Estimators working in Ediphi’s Last Mile Excel environment can now connect a Togal project and drawing set from within the same interface they use to build and report on estimates. Togal quantities flow into Ediphi mapped to the appropriate Unit Price Catalog (UPC) line items—complete with the WBS structure, sort fields, and default unit pricing already configured for each team. When takeoff quantities change in Togal, estimators are notified and can selectively accept or defer updates, with full audit trails that record what changed, when, and by whom.

“We’re excited to partner with Ediphi to bring a modern, web-based estimating experience to our shared customers. This integration reflects our commitment to serving ENR leaders with tools that are not only powerful but built for how teams work today,” said Patrick Murphy, founder and CEO of Togal.

“By connecting Ediphi and Togal, users can maintain seamless collaboration with their teams across both platforms—ensuring continuity from estimating through takeoff without disruption. Together, we’re doubling down on innovation in estimating and delivering a solution that truly meets the evolving needs of the industry.”

How the Integration Works

The integration is accessible directly through Ediphi’s Last Mile Excel add-in, the same environment estimators use for reporting and dashboarding. From there, users can:

  • Select a linked Togal project and drawing set
  • Review available quantity classifications and see which items are new or have been updated since the last sync
  • Submit selected quantities into the estimate, where they arrive pre-mapped to the team’s UPC—with WBS structure and default pricing already applied
  • Accept or defer quantity updates on a line-by-line basis as takeoff evolves
  • View a complete audit trail showing original values, updates, and the user and timestamp for each change

To support the integration, Ediphi has worked with Togal to configure each customer’s UPC within the Togal environment, so that quantity classifications map intelligently to the right line items from the moment the connection is made.

“Quantity takeoff integration has been one of the most consistent gaps our customers have asked us to close,” said Dustin DeVan, CEO and Co-Founder of Ediphi. “This integration with Togal does more than move numbers from one tool to another—it connects takeoff directly to the estimating database, so quantities arrive with pricing context and can be tracked as the design evolves. That’s a fundamentally different workflow than what most teams are using today.”

Stevens Construction: First to Go Live

Stevens Construction, which already uses both Ediphi and Togal across its preconstruction operations, participated in the initial demonstration of the integration and immediately recognized the impact on its workflows. Stevens is activating the integration, making them the first customer to use the live connection in production.

"We're using the best estimating software with Ediphi and the best takeoff software with Togal.ai," explained Evan Lopes, Estimator at Steven’s Construction.

See It Live at Advancing Preconstruction

Ediphi and Togal will jointly demonstrate the integration at Advancing Preconstruction the first week of May. Attendees can visit the Ediphi booth to see the end-to-end workflow in action and speak with the team about how the integration can be configured for their estimating environment.

About Ediphi

Ediphi is a cloud-based preconstruction and estimating platform that centralizes cost management, estimating, and data into one connected system. The company helps contractors and owners move projects from early design through cost modeling, detailed estimating, value engineering, and contract execution in a unified environment, improving decision-making and reducing risk.

Founded and led by construction technology veteran Dustin DeVan, who previously founded BuildingConnected (acquired by Autodesk), and Michael Navarro, Ediphi is focused on radically simplifying preconstruction for teams across North America and beyond.
