
The PM is the individual responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of a construction project. On a GC's team, the PM manages the project budget, schedule, subcontractor relationships, owner communication, and contract administration from preconstruction through closeout. The PM is the primary point of accountability for project performance and is responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. On large projects, a PM may oversee a team of APMs, PEs, and PCs.
