Value Engineering

Value Engineering (VE) is a systematic process used to improve a project’s value by analyzing its functions and identifying alternative solutions that reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality, performance, and reliability.

VE is typically conducted during the design phase but can also occur during construction.

Key Objectives:

  • Reduce unnecessary costs
  • Maintain required functionality
  • Improve efficiency and constructability
  • Enhance long-term performance
  • Optimize materials and systems

A multidisciplinary team reviews project components, evaluates their purpose, and proposes cost-effective alternatives without compromising safety or quality.
